A little bit about us, we are Levi and Shyla Ayers. Levi works full time as a heavy equipment operator and Shyla is a full time licensed veterinary technician. In our spare time, we love to farm. We started our farm in Dec 2013. We decided to break away from the industrial food chain and feed ourselves. During the process of adding heritage livestock to our farm, we fell in love with small cattle and heritage pigs. We believe it's our duty to raise all our animals as stress free and respectful as possible. We want them to have happy lives no matter their purpose. We started our little farm with a trio of zebus and quickly blossomed from there. Ayers Farm is excited to offer up great quality animals for anyone looking to start or expand their own farm or homestead.
Here on Ayers Farm we raise:
-
Registered Irish Dexters
-
Registered White Dexters
-
Registered Miniature and Midsized Jerseys
-
Registered Miniature and Midsized Belfairs

We encourage farm visits and love to share our knowledge with others about raising livestock. We frequently get local families out to learn about raising livestock and homesteading.
Our farm was also featured in the March/April '18 issue of Grand Traverse Woman. This is a local magazine supporting women in the community.
All of the amazing photos used for both magazines were taken by Postcard Photography.
Our beautiful sheep made the cover of the North American Shetland Sheepherders Association magazine vol 27 for Oct 2017.
